Zone of Control Calculator

The 6 hexes surrounding a hex make up the Zone of Control (ZOC) of any units in that hex. All units must stop moving when they enter a hex in an Enemy ZOC. The presence of ZOC's is never cancelled by the presence of other units. ZOC rules will dictate if units can exit an Enemy ZOC. ZOC rules will determine if ZOC's can extend thru various terrain, such as bridge, ford, river or stream.

The ZOC calculator compares the location of the units on the map. Since the map hexagons have a geocoded location name, the ZOC calculator will get the wargame grid coordinate and use geometry to determine if the units is next to another by checking to see if the range is 1.
